![]() ![]() ![]() Puff lives by the sea in the magic land of Honalee and is a companion of a boy called Jackie Paper. I was always partial to friendly or at least non-beastly dragons and thus enjoyed my late-in-life encounter with Puff. It's a gentle, sweet but not saccharine folky tune with lyrics about fantasy lands, imaginary friends and growing up that somehow embodies the 60's spirit very well. The new version one the CD accompanying this book features Peter's daughter Bethany (there is also an instrumental and two other tunes in similar vein). Puff, the Magic Dragon is a song written by Leonard Lipton and Peter Yarrow and made popular by the group Peter, Paul and Mary. Summary: The 60's sweet fairy-tale tune is brought to life with lovely artwork and a new musical version on a CD that also contains 3 other tunes featuring the original band with their offspring. ![]()

When you are sick like this you begin to wonder too much. Some fear death, some seek it, but it is in our human nature to wonder at the limits of human life, at least. The human mind continually returns and returns to death, to mortality, immortality, damnation, salvation. It has both a reference on the whole book but also is an assignment that both Tim and Duncan have to make for their English class. I must first praise the author on how the story was written and there are actually two story lines, one that you hear being told by Tim Macbeth and the other that you see through Duncan Meade. Whenever I put the book down to do something else I immediately got the urge to pick it up again and find out what would happen next in the book.Īs I mentioned the Tragedy Paper is a love story and a story of self discovery. The Tragedy Paper blends literature and a journey of discovering yourself into one classic love-story. Also it is the author's, Elizabeth LaBan, first book. It is not your standard Young-Adult fantasy, no swashbuckling action or the likes but it is fascinating and captivating story. The Tragedy Paper is one of those books for me. ![]() Sometimes I come across a book that makes it hard to write a review and to put your finger on. When Duncan Meade inherits the room and secrets of Tim Macbeth, he uncovers evidence of a clandestine romance, and unravels the truth behind one of the biggest mysteries in the school's history.
